Left Wing, Right Wing, Your Wing, My Wing…

What’s good people, just thinking about cha.  Checkin ya out, seeing how everyone is doing.  Well, me I’m good.  I was bless to see another day, my family is healthy, I still got a job the longest I ever had, no more than 3 year and I was out, LOL.  However, in these economic times you’ll be a damn fool to quit a job now.  That brings me to the reason we are all here today, I was reading an article on CNN.com (because the newspaper is going bye bye and that’s another sign of downturn) called Right-wing Extremism may be on rise.  Which got me to thinking about what people turn to when they feel helpless and alone, but that’s not even the freaky thing.  Last night I had an awful nightmare about the Holocaust and let me tell you it was scary as hell because it seem so real, but surreal at the same time.

There’s no limit to what a person can accomplish if they are pushing that one commodity that everyone runs from, fear.  Hitler did it, the slave master did it, the early settlers did it and so on and so forth just to name a few.  Fear, will make you do things you never thought you would do or be a part of knowing it is wrong.  Hell, fear made Americans accept not one, but two wars that were brought on by lies and fear (note: main reasons for the global economic crisis).  Now there are groups popping up all over the place because of fear.  Fear of their country being lead by the HNIC, fear of the foreclosures on their home, fear of the lost of jobs, fear that they are losing the grip they have had for so long.  Well, I’m here to tell all these groups something and I don’t want you to be alarmed.  We been lost the grip some 50- 60 years ago when we allowed the Federal Reserve Bank stop backing our United State Dollars with gold and silver.  That was the beginning of the end right there and it was the beginning of the New World Order.  See, what these groups fail to realize is that it’s not about color, culture, creed, where you from, where you going.  It’s about your class status, your geographical location and how much assets and money do you have in these failing banks.  It’s about bringing this whole big thing together, under one global umbrella, one common goal, one common law, controlled by one common organization.

Don’t believe me, huh?  OK, well let’s do a little homework assignment, I want you to Google these terms:  European Union, NAFT, North American Union, and New World Order.  Let me know what you come up with.  I try not to sound like a paranoid maniac, but we have got to see what’s going on not only in our communities, but world wide as well.  We can’t let fear run our lives, instead of setting up groups like the left and right-wing groups in the above article, we should be trying to come together as a people.  The time for the end game is upon us and you see people are preparing for something big to happen.  There’s a saying I like to refer to when dealing with life and death situations and it’s this “I’d rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6”.  Where do we start, who can we turn to for guidance.  If you think for one minute that things are going to get better, you are sadly mistaken.  Just look all around you and tell me in all honesty that you see a bright future ahead.

And there you have it, the basic fundamental rhetoric that has people forming groups because they are scared to death of the possibility of it being over and can you blame them?  My only thing is that the forming of these group are based on the wrong values and circumstances.  Instead of building a group for race, religion, political reasons and beliefs, build one because we are all humans and we are all going through the same things and we are all being affect by what’s going on in our society and in the world.

The Falling Away……

Posted in Culture, Family n Friends, Life, Politics, Rant n Rave, Relationships, Religion, SEX on April 8, 2009 by bakerboi

Well, hello there my good friends.  Long time no hear, a lot has been going on since we last spoke.  Let me get right to it.  I was speaking to a friend of mind over the weekend about things you and your REAL folks talk about i.e mutual friends, family and all things in between.  My friend brought up my blog and how he loves to read it.  I can dig it, I really appreciated that, I told him.  He goes on to say how I keep it real and raw and again I thanked him for that and I go on to explain why I try to have it that way.  Then in the mist of conversation about this, that and a third we talked about other blogs we like to read and particular time when I let all my friends know to check out a new blog I found because it was cool and it talks about relationships, sex and things of that nature and the response it has gotten from the viewing public.  Then I had an enlightening moment where it was right there as plain as day and I thought to myself and spoke these words “you know it’s a shame how people love to talk about sex and violence, but when it comes to real life raw things people tend to veer away”.

Was this me hating on a fellow Blogger or just making a point about circumstances related to more negative issues as a whole?  It’s not hate because I enjoy being entertained and that’s what it is,  entertainment.  However, you hardly hear about the real Blogs, the people who have to say something concerning our plight.  I mean sometime I cuss, rant and rave, crack jokes and act a damn fool, but most times when I write it’s about something that has bothered me to the point of expressing myself and letting whoever want to know about it, read it.

I guess what I’m trying to say is this and it’s a segway to the title of the blog in the first place.  There’s a Falling Away happening right now as we speak.  For those of you that know what I’m speaking of, know what I mean and for those of you who don’t “Google it”.

Not that I’m the end-all-to-be-all expert on issues of the Bible, but I know somethings and have learned to seen the signs of things to come.  And that’s what I write about, I guess you can say I write on the issues leading up to the Falling Away, for the most part.  The events in our society and the world that just don’t seem right, like things that are not suppose to happen, happens.  Look at all media outlets and tell me what do you see?  I see crime, sex, violence, drug, murder, suicide, economic issues, financial issues and that’s just the beginning of it all.  I just read an article in Newsweek titled “The End of Christian America” and it doesn’t directly link the Falling Away to the article, but you can read between the lines for yourself and see what’s going.  These are trying times in the world right now and it doesn’t look good for anyone.  I just pray that we can make it through safely, but that’s being optimistic, to say the least.  Let’s me see what you think:

Let’s Play the Blame Game!

OK, I have been thinking about something to write about concerning the killing of 4 Oakland, Ca police officers over the weekend.  Although there were a lot of topics I could have chosen for my piece today and I thought about many, many angles to bring you the fundamental feeling I have been experiencing since the tragic incident took place.  So here’s what I have to say about it.

I never, ever condoned someone being murdered and I never will, I send my condolences to ALL the families involved.  To lose someone, especially a family member to violence is a terrible act that lives with the family for many, many years.  Granted, officers lost their lives and there are 9 kids without fathers and 12 totaling if you count the suspect Lovell Mixon’s kids.  The suspect in these murders was dead wrong and in my opinion should never have been let back into society not fully reformed.  I mean that’s what criminals go to prison for, right.  To pay their debts to society and to be reformed in the process so that when they are release they won’t go back to society and cause havoc in their environments, but that’s the reason why the system is broken because it’s a vicious cycle that keeps going until someone is killed.  These felons will have a hard road ahead of them because society has it setup for them to fail and go back to doing what they do best and that’s committing crimes.  Why is that?  Apparently it’s not about helping criminals who have severed their time so they won’t go back to a life of crime.  Whose to blame for this?  I could point fingers to the Judicial system, the parole and probation systems, the State of CA, the Oakland Police Dept, the Mayors Office, the DA Office, the CA Correctional System and of course myself.  Why myself you might ask?  Well, it’s simple because I feel that we are not holding people accountable for their actions in our communities, let alone the country.  I feel that we have let so many young people down that we are now seeing the fault in our ways and want to make a change.  I say we because we have been trick into believing that it’s alright for a single mother to raise a household by herself.  We have been mislead into thinking that this is the WAY it’s suppose to be.  That father’s need not be in their children lives.  We are a nation of broken homes and misplaced dreams and dysfunctional families.  Who is your role model?  Who do you look up to, whose your measuring stick?  Please, please don’t tell me a sport figure or a famous person.  Not the neighborhood drug dealers, please don’t say that.   Well let me ask you this, who are your kids looking up to?

See, we can past blame on everyone, point and cuss in all  directions, but in reality what we have to realize is that we are all a part of the problem because we have been tricked into letting the government tell us it’s all good.  We can help take care of you, pacify you and let you become so engulfed in trying to survive that you become a zombie waiting for your next check.

Letting the government and television raise our kids has now placed in our society a time bomb waiting to go off.  We need to take back control of our families and communities, we need to build strong families be role models for their communities.  Is it too late, are we so far gone that there’s no coming back?  Are we rolling down a hill with no brakes continuing to accept what is feed to us?   What can be done?  Where are all the leader’s at?  Hell, the ones who really cared and mattered were assassinated for being icons to their generation and wanting change.  Where has that time gone when people stood up for something bigger than themselves?  Where “WE” came before “I”.  I’ll tell you what happen, we were pacified by welfare, sex, drugs and alcohol.  We were feed vices that they knew would create problems for generation to come.  Is it working?  Is the little experiment working, you tell me.  Look outside your windows and tell me what you see.

Hello, my people, Hello.  How are we doing this fine morning.  I hope all is well with everyone.  From the looks of my stats from my previous post, I think it rubbed some of you the wrong way or you guys weren’t just that interested.  That’s OK, to eaches own.  Sometime the truth may hurt a tiny little bit.  So on to new and better things because it’s a new day and new challenges lie ahead.  The title of the post is self-explanatory, I think…..  Well, it should be.  It’s an acronym for the word NIGGA that was created to put us down back in the day, but somehow has been taken and accepted by all walks of life, hummmmmm.  Now even little white, brown, yellow and purple kids call themselves this word.  Why is that?  How could someone take something so negative and turn it into something perceived as positive?  Well, in short that’s what we do, we have been doing it for over 400 years now.  Taken what is giving to us and making the best of that shit, turning nothing into something.  Just like the title of this post, as far as I know one of the greatest rappers of all time made a word that is viewed to be so negative and turned it into a positive.  Tupac Shakur, Pac as most of us call him was a genius when it came to things of this nature.  He did what our culture have been doing for years and that’s reinventing itself because what we create, everyone else loved and took it for themselves.  I need not do the history of that, do I?  I think not, too much to cover and so little time.  Anyway, I would like to bring to your attention that over all these years we have been put down, ostracized, too advantage of and made the scapegoat and through all that time we made it through, we still persevered and moved forward towards our place in history, which I might add is a great place.  We have been to the top and at the bottom and now we are climbing our way back.  We are an inspiration for many to see, we are a testimony for the world to stare in awe.  We are strong and we bend , but never break.  That is our history and that is what make us who we are today. Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished by Strength.  Peace ya’ll and have a blessed and beautiful day.

Love Hurts (Male Perspective)

Posted in Culture, Family n Friends, Life, Rant n Rave, Relationships on February 19, 2009 by bakerboi

What’s happening my people, how are we today?  I’m good, just thought it was time to drop the second part of my three part post.  Now getting down to business.  Let me first say that by no means am I justifying violence against anyone,  domestic or otherwise.  With that being said, this is my view on violence in relationship from a male perspective.  Like I have said in previous post that from a young age we are taught to defend ourselves in the face of being attacked, right.  At least that’s how we were raise in my community and if you didn’t defend yourself you were going to get a major beat down from your parents or whoever was raising you.  In my years growing up I was no stranger to domestic violence, hell my moms was not one for you to mess with and if you thought she was hard on me, she gave her husband, boy-friends and friends hell.  She was the type who would start a fight and want to fight and would not stop fighting.  Hell, half the time I didn’t know what the hell was going on, she was that much of a bad ass.  I see my oldest daughter in her.  So by me growing up with all of that, it really turned me off in a way that I don’t even like to be confrontational and try to avoid it as much as possible because I know I have a little of her in me and I’m liable to snap.  When I was young, I will admit I have smacked the hell outta a girl friend before and that was not a good feeling because of all the raw emotions involved in it leaves you confused and feeling less of a man.  I have never just plain beat a woman up, out-right just fought a woman because where’s the love in that.  It’s none at all.  However,  on the other hand you have woman, who are like my mom.  The one who got a thrill fighting  little boys when she was young and it carried over to adulthood.

What we must understand is that our upbringing has formed us in ways we couldn’t even imagine and has a profound effect on us that in our sub-conscience mind we are doing what’s right and what we are suppose to do.  So let me ask this, when is it Domestic Violence when you attacking or being attacked?  Was it DV when my mother was edging on her significant others and beating the hell outta them or did it become DV when the men in her life defended themselves.  See that’s the point, it’s a vicious cycle that was never broken, it doesn’t matter who attacked who or what for.  What matters is that it was  dysfunctional relationships that should have been nipped in the bud and all parties involved went their separated ways.  Easier said than done, right?  Why is that?  I tell you why because we think it’s love and that this is what love is about, when it’s not about the love you have for the other person, it’s about how much love you have for yourself.  And if we loved ourselves like we are suppose to, you would realize that no matter how much this person makes me want to smack the holly shit outta them, I love myself too much to be put in a situation where I jeopardize my life and well-being.  Just my thoughts on it, I mean I’m only human, right and no one is perfect.

Can you Say “Dirty Pool”

Posted in Hip Hop, Rant n Rave, Uncategorized on February 3, 2009 by bakerboi

Ok, let me start off by saying happy Monday and I hope all is well.  For those of you who don’t know what Dirty Pool means let me give you the definition.  Dirty Pool is conduct that is unfair, unethical or illegal. Being deceitful or deceptive for unfair advantage. I said that to say this, some things you just don’t do like of say disrespect a man in front of his family (guaranteed ass whipping) or say calling the dozens on someone whose parents have died (that was a ass whipping waiting to happen) and last but not least you don’t by any means bring in ex-girlfriend, baby mamas or ex-wife into a fight between you and that man or woman (it goes both ways).  You just don’t do it, that is hitting below the belt.  For real, and many people have been killed for less.  When people get that dirty in the plight to hurt you, you better watch out because shit is about to hit the fan.  Oh, I didn’t even tell what it was about, check this out:

With all that being said be very careful who you make you enemies because some people just don’t give a damn and will set out to hurt you in many, many different ways.  Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!  I can’t believe this shit……  I am truly affected by this.  Dirty Pool at it finest.  Officer Rick Ross, call for backup because you need it bro.  Damn

Inauguartion Pictures of President Obama

Well, the honeymoon is over baby and now the real work is at hand.  The 44th President of the United States of America is a half white and half African, but he acts like he’s African American or black as some would say.  Well, in many ways he is, but what is it to be black.  Now-a-days not much because we are at a stages in this society where race doesn’t have that much weight on it versus whose rich or poor.  The wool have been pulled over our eyes for such a long time that people still think it’s really all about race, when in all actuality it has nothing to do with race.  Our 44th President is black, African American or malotto (one of the missing El De Barge brothers) and that had nothing to do with his race.  It had a lot to do with the direction our country is heading in.  The color of money out weights any one feelings towards someone because of their race.  Why is that, I mean I know there are some cases where that old adage that once a n-i-double g-a, always a n-i-double g-a.  However, when a person did something with themselves and became a success, they were look at differently in so many ways.  From a economical and  sociological stand point you made it out the ghetto, but was that ever enough or even right?  So many have done just that, made it out the ghetto, but did they ever go back to the ghetto to help someone else?  I don’t know, I can’t speak on it for real.  However, what I do know is this and it’s what we all should know.  Don’t look for hand out, no one is coming to help you, help yourself and do for yourself and don’t ever forget where you came from because now-a-days it’s not about the color of your skin, but the color of the paper in your wallet and how much of it you have.

There’s been a transition to what I call the new n-i-double g-a, if you can’t quite put your fingers on it, I’ll help you.  If you are poor or middle class you can now consider yourself to be  a n-i-double g-a, not in the tune of your race, but of the tune of your economic standings.  Whose singing that song?  The fat lady, daddy the fat lady and Ms. Franklin did her thang, big hat and all.  I know I might be giving up too much game, but blacks knew it was a recessions almost two years ago when we start seeing things changing like gas and food prices.  The reason why is that we already know what a struggle is, this is nothing new for us.  We have been struggling for years on years.  We know how to walk it out and take the good with the bad and pray for a better day and it has come.  We now have one less thing to worry about and a hundred more to be scared of.  This is what I say to the people of the U.S.A.  “come on in and join the party”, let’s pull up our boots straps and turn our fitted caps back and build this country in the way we know how and the right way, with every ones help.  Check out these photos:

It’s Hunting Season and Black Men are the Targets

Posted in Blogroll, Culture, Family n Friends, Life, Rant n Rave on January 13, 2009 by bakerboi

Ok, ya’ll I been trying to come up with something to write about and express myself in an intelligent manner.  So, I’m over at Bossip.com, chillin read the blog when I come upon this http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/01/09/new.orleans.shooting/.  Am I surprised, not by a long shot (no pun intended).  I am hurt and feel like black men are being hunted and gunned down just for being black.  It should come to know surprise to any of us that this is not the first time, nor will it be the last that a person of color gets murder by someone who has a position of authority/power (so-called).  Police officers have been shooting us in the back from hundreds of years.  That’s not even the unimaginable, back in slavery they had their way with us.  They done things to us a person wouldn’t even do to an animal on the streets.  Have we forgot?  Are we suppose to forget?  I don’t know, but I don’t forget shit.  I told ya’ll a couple of post back that we are in trouble.  I hate to say it, but everything I said months ago is becoming reality.  Here’s the post:

https://bakerboi.wordpress.com/2008/08/15/we-are-in-trouble-people/

Here’s some advice to the people (black men):

If you are driving, please have you shit together License, Registration and Insurance.  Completely pull over and shut the car off and roll down your windows a little bit.  Last, but not least don’t resist and please comply.  That will get you a long way because they would love for you to do something stupid and get shot in the back for it.  These people have lost their minds, like we are going to keep on letting this go on.  Come on people, having riots in our own communities aren’t the answer.  There’s has to be a better way, right.  I mean there has to be a way for us to tell these people that we are humans and are loved by many and that we are just like them, right.  I mean there has to be a way for us to let them know that what they have been doing to us for all these years is really the main reason why the country is messed up right now.  They have to know these things, right.  I don’t know, the people have been known to kill everybody in the house and then themselves.  I keep using the band that kept playing while the Titanic was sinking, giving the people something to jump to their deaths to.  It’s amazing, how we human are.  We don’t care how much it hurts, we’ll keep on do the same thing until the wheels fall off of it.  Damn shame.

Riots in the Streets of Oakland,Ca 2009

I have never been one for violence and destruction in the manner in which a mob let lose on a city and it’s citizens.  It only makes matters worse and doesn’t solve the underlying issues of why you are mad in the first place.  With that being said,  the injustices and wrongful deaths that bring such mobs to the point of violence and destruction can some what be understood.  It’s not like we invented protest and demonstrations that turn into angry mobs, this shit has been going on since the beginning of time.  It’s when a group of people get tire of being tire and lash out at the injustices, the system and sometimes even themselves to prove a point and get some frustrations off their chest.  When things like this happen we have to understand that more than likely someone has lost their lives for something that was not right or some type of injustice has been committed.  Is it right?  No.  Not by a long shot, but it lets the world know that people do care about something.  People just want to be treated right, that’s it.  People want to feel like they belong somewhere, like they are a part of something bigger than themselves and if they can’t be accept just by being who they are then they lash out, protest and demonstrate and mob the city.

For those who equate property damage to the reasons why people mob, let’s think for a second.  I would rather have lost my car by fire bomb, than to have lost my life to a senseless act of racism or stupidity.  There’s no comparison, I do feel for all of you how did lose some personal property, but you are alive and well and can get that stuff again.  You can’t get another life.

For Johannes Mehserle, I don’t know if you tried to leave me a comment about my blog, but it was the written text I had wrote in my blog where your comment was suppose to be.  If you want to say something, I will post it and reply.  However, I do feel that all of this could have been avoided if you would have came out and express your remorse for your actions.  I know you are trying to protect your family and all, but the crime has been done and a life has been lost.  How do we move on from this?  You accepting responsibility would have been a good start.  I don’t know how you feel or who you are listening to, but whoever it is they are dropping the ball on this one and now it’s national.  In the event that you are brought up on criminal charges, don’t you think it would have went a long way if you would have came and made a statement expressing your remorse and devastation?  No, what did you do, you retired and retreated, great.

BART(Bay Area Rapid Transit) Police Shoot Man in Back

Posted in Life, Rant n Rave on January 7, 2009 by bakerboi

Well, well in this new year the BART police got the 1st kill.  A 2 year rookie of the force shot and killed a BART rider at the Fruitvale station in Oakland, Ca on New Years morning after the 22-year-old Oscar Grant III came from celebrating with others.  It seems that a fight broke out on the train and police were called to the scene.  However, from the look of several videos, that’s right videos, the officers were using excessive force from the start.  Blows were being thrown while the suspects were handcuffed and lying on the ground.  The victim, Oscar Grant III was sitting on the ground while the police surrounded him and about 2-3 others that were handcuffed.  It was said that Mr. Grant was trying to comply and encourage others to comply with the shoot first officers.  After being told to lay on his stomach, the suspect Officer Johannes Mehserle, with the help of another cops knee to the back and neck continue to handcuff Mr Grant.  It appears that the suspect Officer Johannes Mehserle got frustrated and reached for his weapon while the victim, Mr. Grant lay on his stomach.  The suspect Officer Johannes Mehserle shot Mr. Grant in the lower back with a .40 caliber handgun.  The bullet then ricochet of the ground and through Mr. Grants lungs.  The victim, Mr. Grant died some hours later from the gun shot wound he received from the suspect Officer Johannes Mehserle.

It seems to me that in this day and age, cops would realize that technology is king and that everyone and their mothers (literally) has a camera/video cell phone.  This shit has been caught on video and I have it here for you, but I must warn it is graphic and disturbing.
