Dropping a few lines.

Hey all, what it do baby?  Just checking in seeing what the know good is.  Man, I went to see the new Don Cheadle movie “Talk to me” and it was really good.  The critic’s say it was loosely based on the life and times of Ralph Waldo “Petey” Greene, a radio DJ and comic in Washington D.C. back in the 70’s and 80’s.  It was funny, sad and very enlightening.  It’s a must see film because it’s a constant reminder that the world we live in today isn’t that much different from back then.  We still got the same social and political issues as back in the day just on a different scale.  The part of the movie that really said something to me was where Petey’s manager Duey got him to be one of the biggest comics and voice personalities of his time and with all their hard work was able to get him a spot on the tonight show with Johnny Carson.  Well, they went tot he show and Petey had some reservations about going on national t.v. because all he said he ever wanted to do was radio.  Any, how he went on the show and just let everyone know that what he did was so that the people would laugh with him and not at him.  My thing is this and it still holds true till this day, we are so afraid of success that we will do any and everything in our power not to accept the possibility that we may become more successful than we could even imagine.  We run from success because we might not want the added responsibility that comes with it.  I see it everyday, people cop out to the fears and make those fears like rational reasons  why their in the position their in right now.  You only fear what you don’t know, grab hold of it and conquer it, destroy it and make it yours.  You won’t know until you try it.
